Telecommunications Network Technician

Location: Christchurch, Canterbury

A significant player in the telecommunications industry has vacancies for Telecommunication Network Technicians, with at least 3 years of experience working in the Mobile Telecommunications industry.
With the head office based in Mt Wellington, you will work throughout New Zealand – Technicians are required in Palmerston North, Christchurch Northland, and Auckland, so please feel free to apply. To be successful in this role you'll be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously.
The salary on offer is $ 33-00 per hour for the 1st40 hours, thereafter, overtime rates will apply.
To be successful in this role you'll need a minimum of 3 years experience in telecommunications, Spark, 2 Degrees, or Vodafone
Duties and Responsibilities
• All aspects of the build/upgrade / installation process for a cell tower
• Use of Sitemaster / PIM tester and other testing software
• Commissioning of telco network and components
• Proof of network performance
• Have the ability to travel nationwide.
• Fault finding and repair of RAN equipment. Interference investigation
• RF acceptance Testing (Drive Testing)
• Microwave commissioning and fault investigation
• RF cable terminations (coax 450,550, LMR)
About you
• At least 3 years experience in the industry
• Experience with Samsung, Huawei, Nokia, and Ericsson BTS equipment
• Understanding of RF Cabling and handling
• Competent with a variety of handheld power tools
