Fitter/Fabricator

Location: Christchurch, Canterbury

Reference: Fitter/Fabricator

On behalf of our well respected Woolston based client we are seeking an experienced fitter/fabricator for an immediate start for a long term temporary assignment that will become permanent work for the right person. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in tig/mig welding and ideally, arc welding. Along with this you will have the following skills and attributes:

*Good knowledge ability with a wide range of tools
*Use of precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles
*Interpretation of drawings and plans; carrying out the work accordingly
*Producing templates and other work aids
*Use your industry experience to promote a good work ethic and become a role-model within the company
*Assisting other team members with advice and technical knowledge when developing products or designs
*Ensuring that products and goods are manufactured to meet quality standards obtainable in the industry
Health & Safety:
*Taking personal responsibility for own safety and that of the wider production team.
*Adhering at all times to the standards in the health and safety policy and SOPs.
*Consistently and actively promoting health and safety within the production area at all times, for staff and visitors.
*Completing any H+S reporting as required.

You will also be:
*Fit and healthy, lifting and manual handling required
*Have good time management & personal organisation skills
*Flexible and adaptable, ability to learn quickly
*High personal motivation, energy and good work habits
