The successful candidate will have a passion for their trade, demonstrating both precision and creativity in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures. Our projects cover a wide range of residential and commercial undertakings, providing a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities
* Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for construction projects.
* Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, plastic, and other materials.
* Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, shelves, and drywall.
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local building codes and regulations.
* Inspect and replace damaged framework and other structures as necessary.
* Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects in a timely manner.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.


Requirements
* Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the carpentry trade.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings accurately.
* Excellent physical condition and stamina; able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude when working with team members.
* Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and are drug free.

This a 3 month contract which can lead to extended work for the right candidates.
PPE gear will be provided and you will be working for one of NZ biggest construction company.
