On behalf of our well respected Hornby client we are looking for a machine operator to work various machines in a plastics recycling plant.

This modern plastics recycling company has a great team of people, and is Christchurch owned and operated!
When we say plastic recycling we don't mean like you think of at the refuse station. An example is: irregular shapes/lengths of plastic piping etc that aren't up to spec for sale are sent to this company to be shredded and refined back into plastic beads to send back to the company to remake the pipe. Waste minimising and good for the environment!

This role would see you operating several machines on the workshop floor, cutting and shredding plastic into the sizing needed and bagging etc as well as general cleaning and labour duties.

Full training provided. This is a temp to perm position with the view of permanent employment with our client.

The Shift we are currently recruiting for is 3pm-11pm Mon-Fri

You will need to be fit enough for some lifting, have your own transport to get to/from work and pass pre-employment checks including a pre-employment drug-screen.

On offer is a $22/PH + 8% holiday pay ($23.76) starting rate + Kiwisaver etc and overtime for any hours over 40.
